Town Trust Offers Grant for Properties in Historic District

The Richfield Town Trust will award business grants in 2024 to properties located in the Richfield Historic District. Using money that was raised by the Chamber of Commerce Sweet Corn Bike Ride, the nonprofit will award up to $7,000 in 2024 for properties in the historic district that are used commercially.

The Town Trust will also award up to $5,000 in 2024 for properties in the historic district that are used as a residence.

Property owners can apply for grants to repair existing buildings or construct new buildings.

Grants will be awarded on a point system and must be matched by the property owner. The grant can pay for up to half of any project.

Applications to apply for a grant are available at the front office of the ScripType Building, 4300 W. Streetsboro Rd., Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., or can be downloaded at richfieldtowntrust.org. Grant applications must be submitted by Dec. 30, 2023.
